Exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation

On 14 December, an exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation was opened at the RCSC site. The event was prepared by the Russian Embassy in Belgium and the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office. The Exhibition has collected the historical documents from the collection of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library, reflecting the final stage of the preparation and adoption of the Constitution and interesting facts about the Basic Law of Russia.

 

The Constitution of the Russian Federation is the lynch pin of the entire Russian legal system which defines the meaning and the content of all other laws. Constitution Day is celebrated in the country annually on 12 December. On this day in 1993, according to the results of the national referendum, the document entered into force.

On the same day, an exhibition of photographs by finalists of the Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest, organized by Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency under the aegis of the Commission of Russia for UNESCO opened at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Brussels.

The event was attended by representatives of the Belgian community, compatriots, employees of the Russian Embassy and the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Belgium.
