At the municipal cemetery of the village of Peissant, Estinnes, Hainaut province, there is a grave of a Soviet soldier, who was allegedly involved in the Belgian Resistance. According to available information, this is Pauvolau Richard, born 17.09.1911, died 1.1.1945. More precise data are not available.
A simple concrete cross is fixed on the grave, having a metal plate with the name, dates of birth and death, and a “RESISTER” (?) mark.
